Episode 17 - The One with the Crankypants Penguin

What’s OFF the needles (but not shown…sorry!)- Self-Striping!!!! – My Knitted Heart Vanilla Socks from Elizabeth Suarez (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/my-knitted-heart-vanilla-socks) (kind of…I may have played with it a little while watching Star Trek) with Friday Studios self-striping sock (not sure what base though...I think Monday). Size US 1 ½ (2.5 mm) Addi Turbo needles.

What’s on the needles -

Yvaine – pattern by Liz Abinathe (Feministy). Yarn is Peeta from Sunshine Yarns in the Classic Sock base and needles are Size 3 (3.25 mm) Signature Needles

I’m at the leg for the Lace and Cable Socks – Another pattern from Wendy Johnson’s Socks from the Toe Up. Also done with yarn from Lisa Souza’s BFL Sock in Sky Drama colorway. Size US 1 (2.25 mm) Hiya Hiya Sharp needles.

I’m still on the leg with the Traditional Gansey Socks – Pattern from Wendy Johnson’s Socks from the Toe Up. Yarn from Lisa Souza’s BFL Sock in The Shore colorway. Size US 1 ½ (2.5 mm) Addi Turbo needles.

Episode 16 - The One with the Firecrackers

What’s on the needles -

I’m increasing for the gusset for the Lace and Cable Socks – Another pattern from Wendy Johnson’s Socks from the Toe Up. Also done with yarn from Lisa Souza’s BFL Sock in Sky Drama colorway. Size US 1 (2.25 mm) Hiya Hiya Sharp needles.

I’m half way done with the Traditional Gansey Socks – Pattern from Wendy Johnson’s Socks from the Toe Up. Yarn from Lisa Souza’s BFL Sock in The Shore colorway. Size US 1 ½ (2.5 mm) Addi Turbo needles.

What’s on the Nails – I showed you lots of nail colors! First: Pride nails with Julep Jackie, Joy, Leila, and Kaylen with Barielle Decadence and OPI Fresh Frog of Bel Air.

Second: China Glaze Riveting (part of the Hunger Games/Capitol Colors collection).

Third: Captain America/Fourth of July with Julep Tracy, Jackie, and Firecracker with OPI Alpine Snow.

I started using gel as my base to add strength: Gelish Vitagel Rejuvenating Nail Strengthener and IBD Just Gel Polish Top Coat (think SV for gels)
